What is the wall made of?:
The Green monster was made of wood at the core then it was covered in tin and concrete in 1934. After that in 1976 the wall was covered in hard plastic. It’s kind of weird that the name of the wall is Green Monster if it was only painted green in the year 1947.

Why was it built?:
The wall was built for one purpose only and that was because someone wanted a big wall in baseball that was hard to hit over. It was in fact it was 37' and 2" tall.

If this wall could speak what would it say?:
Ouch! Another ball to the face! Every single game a ton of balls bounce off of me over and over. It starts to get old after a while. Sometimes an occasional person falls off of the top of me and dies once that person hits the ground. Its kind of sad. I wish that I could travel with the RedSox to different fields so I can see something else than this same field day in and day out.
